A Way Out Recovery is located in Shakopee, MN.  It is a state licensed Men's Intensive Outpatient Program for the treatment of drug and alcohol addiction and abuse.  When beginning the program, the client will participate in 16 therapeutic hours per week on a continued basis.  We meet from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM (or from 5:00 to 9:00 PM) on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  A Way Out Recovery is an excellent program for any male seeking recovery from substance abuse.  Our program is considered to be a professionally recommended option and a natural progression in the recovery process after primary residential treatment.  We also consider it a safe and sober alternative for transition following release from incarceration.  

Our counselors focus on a client-centered approach to individualize each treatment plan.  Each plan is customized to help our clients gain stabilization with their chemical health, mental health, and living skills. The A Way Out program focuses on assisting the clients with their emotional wellness by addressing personal issues with trauma, self-esteem, grief and loss, relationships and boundaries, spiritual maintenance, functional living and coping skills, and any other emotional struggles the clients choose to address in their treatment plan.  

At A Way Out Recovery, we work to help our clients realize the steps and actions necessary for long term recovery.  Our goal is to help them to take responsibility for their recovery, and to live clean and sober, and productively in the solution (and not in the problem).   We work with our clients weekly to have attainable recovery goals; and encourage them daily to actively work the 12 steps with a sponsor, to regularly attend AA/NA (and/or other recovery) meetings, and to build a strong sober support network.

Additionally, we offer sober housing in safe and quiet neighborhoods to helpI our clients achieve long term recovery in an atmosphere conducive to personal  growth and transformation.  A Way Out Sober Living provides vast opportunities to build lasting friendships with peers who are also seeking connection with other men on the road to success, and who desire a new direction for their lives,  

The A Way Out Recovery treatment program is built upon a structure of recovery themes which help our clients to become more committed to their new recovery lifestyle, to learn to effectively manage triggers and urges to use or drink, to prevent relapse, to manage stress and attain emotional balance, to practice and develop coping skills, to resolve conflicts and improve interpersonal communication, to restore relationships, and to build personal integrity and character.
